Aidan J. Sherlock
Aidan is originally from Dublin Ireland. He moved to Boston in June of 2017 to begin a career in Quality Control and Assurance. In October of 2017, Aidan graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Nutraceuticals for Health and Nutrition at the Dublin Institute of Technology.
His studies allow him to bring many skills to Boston Baking, including; Quality/Food Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Shelf-Life Management and Packaging, Food Microbiology, Sensory Analysis, along with many others. Aidan’s past experience working in the food service industry also prepared him for HACCP, allergen control, GMP’s and sanitation practices and hygiene, which are critical to his job.
In the summer of 2016, Aidan took an internship at Donnelly’s Fruit & Veg where he assisted in the quality assurance department. It was during this internship that he discovered his passion for Quality & Food Safety.
He is responsible for the hygienic and sanitary production of food throughout the facility. He also monitors Boston Baking’s Food Safety plan to make sure the food our customers receive is safe. Aidan also monitors the safety of our employees by ensuring all safety programs are in place and up to date.
In his spare time Aidan enjoys playing rugby and golf. In the long term, he plans to build his Management experience and elevate Boston Baking’s food quality and safety standards to the next level.
