About Our Vice President of Sales

Kristen Boschetto

Kristen Boschetto graduated from Hartwick College in May of 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in Arts of Management. The skills she acquired during her studies consisted of a series of Accounting courses, Micro and Macro Economics, Mergers & Acquisitions, Advertising & Promotion, and Entrepreneurship, followed by a seven-step management program. With each management course, she was able to practice running her own company.

Upon graduation, Kristen applied her newly-acquired skills by taking on the role of Account Manager at Boston Bagel, Inc. Throughout her years at this establishment, she has gained valuable knowledge and experience in the bagel/food industry to apply towards her sales goals. She has implemented marketing strategies to increase sales and maintain good customer relations. While working for a small family business, she has learned to perform numerous tasks needed to help run a successful business. Kristen has excelled in developing managerial skills in working directly with the public.

In 2005 Kristen entered into a partnership with Julee to open up Boston Baking, Inc. At this point, she advanced to the position of Vice President of Sales. She has represented Boston Baking, Inc. at trade shows to demonstrate the product mix and to develop distributor programs. Kristen plans to further her education by enrolling in a graduate program in hopes of strengthening her knowledge base and, consequently, the future of Boston Baking, Inc.

Here, in Kristen’s own words (taken from Boston Baking, Inc’s biscotti package), is her take on being a fourth-generation baker:

“In the early 1900’s my great-grandparents, Josephine and Andrew, came to America from Avelino, Italy. They settled in the North End of Boston to raise their family. Andrew soon opened the first Boschetto Bakery in America on Salem Street in the North End. It wasn’t long before people were lining up to purchase his biscotti and bread made from a family recipe.

In 1952 my grandfather, along with his brothers, followed in their father’s footsteps and opened a second Boschetto Bakery in a small section of Boston. In 1978 my dad continued the tradition of quality baking by opening his own bakery.

Now it is my turn. Four generations later - with a blend of the original recipe, a taste for the inspired, and all natural ingredients - I have added contemporary style to this traditional family business.”
